SAILING COURSES
The Skipper Foundation based in Mossel bay is equipped to teach sailors of all ages and experience. The foundation offers World Sailing and SAS recognized sailing courses on Dinghies and Catamarans from beginner levels through to advance levels. All proceeds support our youth programs. Come to Mossel Bay and experience the beautiful bay at it's best.
OUR PROGRAMS
At the Skipper Foundation, we believe in equipping our students with skills which will enable them to grow into responsible, employable young men and women. We want to give them the skills to be able to have a career in the maritime fields and beyond. It is with this motivation that we offer them training in soft and technical skills. We believe that it is vitally important for them to learn how to interact with their communities so that they can have a positive impact and contribution to others.
VISION
Our aim with the center is to teach and develop sailing skills to vulnerable youth groups from underprivileged communities. We achieve this by means of sponsored training courses presented by competent volunteering experts. The sailing environment sets the platform for youth to learn technical and soft skills as well as other attributes such as commitment, discipline and ethics, which prepare them for national and international employment opportunities in the marine industry.
